Norwalk, California — Minions fans have a new reason to visit Wendy’s this summer as the fast-food chain launches a nationwide promotion inspired by Illumination’s upcoming film, “Minions & Monsters,” which is set to arrive in theaters on July 1.
The partnership brings a collection of limited-time menu items, themed meals, exclusive collectibles, and special fan experiences designed to celebrate the latest chapter in the popular animated franchise.
With new treats, collectible toys, and a themed drive-thru experience, Wendy’s is aiming to turn its restaurants into a destination for Minions lovers of all ages.
Kids Can Collect Exclusive Minions Toys
The celebration has already begun with the release of the Minions & Monsters Kids’ Meal, now available at participating Wendy’s locations nationwide.
Each meal includes one of six collectible character toys inspired by the upcoming movie. Fans may receive figures featuring James, Henry, Ed, Richard, Goomi, or Dort.
The Kids’ Meal also offers several food options, allowing families to customize their orders. Choices include chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, hamburgers or cheeseburgers, along with fries or apple bites and a drink.
The collectible toys are expected to be a major attraction for younger fans eager to bring home a piece of the movie experience.
Adults Get Their Own Minions-Themed Meal
Beginning June 15, Wendy’s is expanding the promotion to older customers with the launch of the Minions & Monsters Meal.
The limited-time combo includes a choice of either a Big Bacon Classic or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, paired with fries, a Banana Frosty Swirl, and one of four surprise Minions collectibles packaged in blind boxes.
The collectible aspect is expected to encourage repeat visits as customers try to complete the full set.
By offering exclusive merchandise alongside food items, Wendy’s is tapping into the growing popularity of movie-themed dining experiences that appeal to both families and collectors.
New Banana Frosty and Specialty Drinks Join the Menu
One of the biggest additions to the summer lineup is the Banana Frosty Swirl, which combines Wendy’s signature vanilla Frosty with banana cream sauce.
The dessert was created to match the playful spirit of the Minions, who are famously obsessed with bananas.
Customers will also be able to try two new beverages available through Coca-Cola Freestyle machines:
- Pineapple Minion MischieFizz
- Goomi’s Glimey Lime
The specialty drinks are designed to complement the movie-themed menu and add another layer of fun to the promotion.

Wendy’s is also bringing the Minions celebration directly to Southern California with a themed drive-thru experience at its Norwalk restaurant on East Imperial Highway.
The event is expected to give Los Angeles-area fans a chance to immerse themselves in the Minions universe while enjoying the new menu offerings.
The promotion arrives just weeks before the movie’s theatrical debut, helping build excitement among longtime fans of the franchise.
