Washington, D.C. — Parents and caregivers are being urged to immediately stop using a popular baby bottle sold exclusively through Walmart after federal safety officials announced a recall involving approximately 40,000 units due to a potential choking hazard.
The recall was announced by TOMY International in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) after numerous reports involving defects in the bottle’s outer plastic shell.
Thousands of Baby Bottles Recalled Nationwide
According to the recall notice issued on June 4, the affected product is the Boon NURSH 8 oz Reusable Baby Bottles 3-Pack in pink tie-dye.
The bottles were sold in packages containing three units and feature a design that includes a hard plastic outer shell surrounding a soft silicone pouch.
Officials said the recall affects approximately 40,000 baby bottles sold across the United States.
The products were available at Walmart stores nationwide and Walmart.com between November 2025 and May 2026 and were sold for approximately $20 per package.
Why the Bottles Are Being Recalled
The recall was issued because the bottle’s hard plastic exterior may begin to bubble or partially peel away during use.
Safety officials warned that loose plastic film pieces can separate from the bottle, creating a potential choking hazard for infants and young children.

Although no injuries have been reported, officials say the company has already received numerous complaints regarding the defect.
According to the recall notice, TOMY International received 135 reports of bubbling or peeling involving the bottle’s outer plastic shell.
While none of the incidents resulted in injuries, regulators emphasized that the potential risk warrants immediate action to prevent future harm.
