The violence occurred in the area of Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, where festival activities were taking place.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple shooting victims. Many victims have been transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment,” Toledo Police said in a statement.

Authorities said two victims remain in critical condition, while the conditions of the remaining victims have not been fully disclosed.
Emergency responders transported the wounded to nearby hospitals as investigators began collecting evidence at multiple locations connected to the shooting.
Police Believe Two Shooters Were Involved
Investigators say early evidence suggests the shooting may have involved more than one gunman. During a press conference, Toledo Deputy Police Chief Joe Heffernan shared preliminary findings from the investigation.
“We believe there were two shooters who were probably shooting at each other.”
Authorities have not announced any arrests, and investigators continue working to identify and locate those responsible.
The investigation includes crime scenes in the areas of Delaware Avenue and Robinwood Avenue, where officers have been gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
Festival Organizers Cancel Remaining Events
The Old West End Festival, a longtime community tradition known for live music, food vendors and family-friendly activities, was deeply affected by the violence.
Following discussions with law enforcement, organizers made the decision to cancel all remaining events scheduled for Sunday. In a statement, festival organizers expressed sadness over the incident.
“We are heartbroken about those who were injured at the Old West End Festival.”
They continued:
“Many people want to know how we proceed from such a dark place. After discussion with festival organizers [and] law enforcement … we feel that it would not be compassionate, responsible, or possible to continue the festival.”
The cancellation marked an abrupt end to an event that has been a fixture in the community for many years.
