Maryland Forecast Comfortable Monday, Then Rising Temperatures and Rain Chances Through Friday

Baltimore, Maryland — Maryland residents can expect a pleasant start to the workweek as cooler air settles across the region, bringing seasonable temperatures and dry conditions before summer heat and humidity make a return later in the week.

Forecasters say Monday and Tuesday will offer some of the most comfortable weather of the week before temperatures climb significantly heading into the second half of the week.

Comfortable Conditions Return to Start the Week

A cool front moving through the region is helping to keep temperatures near seasonal averages across Maryland. Monday is expected to feature plenty of dry weather along with afternoon highs ranging from the upper 70s to the lower 80s.

The combination of moderate temperatures and lower humidity levels should provide ideal conditions for outdoor activities, commuting and recreation.

Residents can also expect comfortable overnight temperatures as the cooler air mass remains in place through the beginning of the week.

Seasonal Temperatures Continue Through Tuesday

The pleasant weather pattern is expected to continue into Tuesday. Forecasters say temperatures will gradually rise but remain close to normal for this time of year.

High temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid-80s by Tuesday afternoon while dry weather continues across much of the state.

The lack of significant rain chances during the first half of the week should allow for several consecutive days of favorable weather conditions.

For many Maryland communities, Tuesday may represent the final day of relatively comfortable temperatures before a major warmup begins.

Summer Heat Builds by Midweek

Weather conditions are expected to change noticeably beginning Wednesday as warmer air moves into the region. Forecasters predict temperatures will quickly climb back into the 90s, bringing a return of hot summer conditions across much of Maryland.

Humidity levels are also expected to increase significantly, making it feel even warmer during the afternoon hours. The combination of heat and moisture could lead to uncomfortable conditions for those spending extended periods outdoors.

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day as temperatures rise later this week.

Rain and Thunderstorm Chances Increase

Along with the heat and humidity, the likelihood of rain will increase beginning Wednesday. Forecast models currently indicate 40% to 50% chances of showers and thunderstorms from Wednesday through Friday.

Dangerous Multi-Day Severe Weather Outbreak Could Bring Tornadoes, Hail and Damaging Winds Across Midwest

While not everyone will experience rainfall, scattered storms could develop during the afternoon and evening hours as the atmosphere becomes more unstable.

Some storms may bring brief periods of heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds. However, forecasters note that rain chances should become slightly lower as the weekend approaches.

Weekend Outlook Appears Slightly Drier

Looking ahead, weather conditions may improve somewhat by next weekend. Although isolated showers remain possible, current projections suggest fewer storm chances compared to the middle of the week.

Temperatures are expected to remain warm, but the overall pattern may become somewhat less active as Maryland moves into the weekend period.

Residents should continue monitoring local forecasts throughout the week as temperatures, humidity levels and storm chances evolve.
