Pretty Woman

This romantic comedy is your average fairy tale love story with Julia Roberts as the Princess and Richard Gere as the dashing Prince Charming. Edward Lewis(Gere), a wealthy businessman, picks up Vivian Ward, a prostitute, while looking for directions to Beverly Hills. Edward hires Vivian for the weekend and the two get closer and before they realize it they’re falling for each other. The two must overcome the fact that they are from completely different worlds in order to be happy with each other. With the city of angels as the backdrop for this movie we get iconic scenes of Vivian strolling down Rodeo Drive and an artistic montage of Vivian taking advantage of Edward’s wallet while Roy Orbison’s Oh, Pretty Woman plays in the background. Both Roberts and Gere have palpable chemistry that would have anyone cheering for them to live happily ever after and it also works in their favor that the two look like a match made in heaven.
