On November 21st the Interact Club at Fleming Island High School had their fourth annual talent show! The proceeds collected from the show were given to End Polio Now, which is working with Rotary to fight against polio in young children, typically under the age of five. You can click on the given link below to learn more about what End Polio Now is and how you can help.
There were a total of eight participants, all of whom worked hard and stayed after school to practice their talents. The productions committee in the Interact club also stayed after school to work on decorations and stage props for the show. Another committee in Interact known as the advertisement committee helped put the show together by creating flyers and ads to post around the school and online. All in all, the Interact Club really works hard together to produce a wonderful and entertaining show for students, staff, and family to see.
The Interact Club managed to collect about $551 from ticket sales and donations for fan favorites. As mentioned before, these proceeds will go towards the End Polio Now organization as well as the Interact club itself to help pay for future materials needed for upcoming events such as Mr. FIHS, which is also held at the end of the school year by Interact.
A special congratulations to Nathan Alcudia for winning the best talent! Nathan played the “Moonlight” Sonata 3rd Movement by Ludwig van Beethoven on the piano.
